How to play word search
The goal is to find every word on the list hidden inside the letter grid. Words run in any of eight straight directions — horizontal, vertical, and (on harder tiers) the four diagonals — and may read forward or backward. To select a word, press on its first letter and drag toward its last letter. The selection snaps to the nearest straight line and a soft preview capsule shows exactly which letters you'll grab, so you never have to trace cell by cell. Release to lock it in: a correct word gets a colored trace, crosses off the list, and plays a little chime. A wrong guess costs nothing — there is no penalty, no timer death, and no way to lose.
Difficulty tiers
- Easy (8×8): a smaller grid, 6–7 words, only forward across and down — relaxing and great for a quick break or a first try.

Tips for spotting diagonal and backward words
- Scan one row and one column at a time for the first letter of a word, then check the cells around it for the second.
- Diagonals are easiest to catch by following the corners — let your eye drift along a 45° line rather than reading left to right.
- Don't worry about direction: the snap-to drag reads your selection both ways, so a backward word matches without you choosing "backward."
- Stuck? A free hint gently pulses the first letter of one unfound word — it never traces the word for you, because every word is findable on your own.
